Aqualung @ Webster Hall 9.29.05

In a rare occurence Matt Hales is actually standing up! He's learned to play the guitar and come out from behind the piano every now and then...much to everyone's delight.

ATLANTIC ANTIC
Yes, that is an anatomically correct Lion you see in one of these photos.

FINALLY!

This sucker's working! I should be doing work right now, but instead I'll have some fun posting pics here and take a break.

These are some of the views from the boat cruise...

So, I really want to post all my new photos, but this damn blog keeps retracting to this one photo over and over and over again. Any blog geeks out there who can help?

Saw the premiere of Extras tonight with the guy from the BBC Office show, and I think it might just be my favorite new show...

I've been a horrible blogger

So, I'm posting out of guilt right now.

Went on a dinner boat cruise for school Friday night, and we circled Manhattan, not once but twice! The views were stupendous, but waves were trecherous. I lost my balance several times, and the booze didn't really help matters much.

Last night was the first Cordalene show that I booked for the band, and I've never been so proud in my life. The crowd was a little sparse earlier on in the night, but we had an amazing turnout for the show. The band thanked me during their set, and I was just beaming. Everyone just fell in love with the band...thanks to all my friends who came out to see them. It meant the world to me.

Now, off to the Atlantic Antic...new photos to come soon!

I think God heard me...

Wow, that was quick - It just started pouring!

High Line Block Party/The Gay & Lesbian Marching Band

It's been a minute since I've made a post. Sorry to say I've been negelecting my blog. Between school, Cordalene, and CMJ week it's been nuts. So, I don't have much to say other than "it's fucking HOT outside!". God, please let it rain on me!

My Left Arm is Now Permanently Bent and Will Not Straighten Out!

I fear that I might have actually slightly torn a muscle or two Tuesday in that class taught by the militant police chick. I took two Aleve, but that did not seem to help at all. Now I have an excuse not to go to the gym for at least a week!

My other two classes yesterday were completely boring. I should have known with the Marketing Creativity class...you can't really "market" creativity can you? I feel as though it might be a bullshit class taught by a famous designer. Makes me wonder why I'm paying so much to go to school sometimes...

Going to get my allergy shot now...guess I'll have to give him my one good right arm. Tonight my arms will be totally immobile - looking forward to it!

Do You Know What It Means to Lose New Orleans?

If you haven't already read the truly touching NYTimes OpEd piece by Anne Rice with the above title, here's the link: www.nytimes.com/2005/09/04/opinion/04rice.html

My First Day Back at School

Before I headed back to B-School I took another class at the infamous Gold's Gym yesterday. This time I took the "Total Body Fitness" class taught by Marie, the New York City Policewoman. This was by far the most painful class yet. My left arm is completely limp, but I'm starting to notice a slight difference. My tummy is a bit flatter, and I'm noticing some muscle tone in my arms. Soon enough, I'll look like Madonna :) I woke up today in even more pain, but I guess that's a good sign? I really enjoyed the stick fighting exercise we played the most...

Besides barely not even being able to flip a notebook open at school yesterday, the two classes I took were not that bad. In our management communication class we played a game where you had to replicate these logo structures blindfolded with only oral directions. This was harder than it sounds and totally made you listen more and communicate clearly. We also had to memorize everyone's name to a face in the class - another truly difficult task for someone who never remembers a name OR a face.

WEST INDIAN PARADE/CARNAVAL

Mike Loew, photographer extraordinaire (one of the many talents he possesses), and I shot tons of pics today. About half of these are Mike's: # 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 16. We shared my digital camera, so I'm not completely sure, but Mike please let me know if I made a mistake here, so I can give you proper photo credits! My favorite photo here is the one Mike took of the statuesque lady swirling her red skirt into the pic (#16). Mike Loew, you are now my idol!

The plantains were yummy, and one of the reggae acts performing wrote a slammin' song just for the parade titled "Mashing up the Parkway".
